Nextdet shone at the Ouro Preto Workshop: A Boost to your Passion for Mining

From July 29 to 31, the UFOP Convention and Arts Center in Ouro Preto, Brazil, was the setting for the interactive Workshop “Challenges in Fragmentation and Environmental Control in Blasting.” This event, key to economic development and environmental preservation, brought together prominent professionals in the sector.

At the Nextdet Workshop, it stood out with the participation of its engineers, who through strategic alliances seek to build state-of-the-art mining. The Workshop offered an invaluable opportunity to present and learn about the latest technologies in the sector, as well as to train human resources in the mining industry.

With their own booth, Nextdet engineers demonstrated how their products work, energizing attendees’ passion for mining. The event, organized jointly by Minera Jr and UFOP, offered professionals and students from all over the world an enriching and challenging experience.

Nextdet Participation and Exhibitions

In addition to Nextdet, the event included the participation of companies such as VMA, AECI Mining, Orica, Blast Control, Hexagon, Austin Power, Maptek, WIN, Vale and Mining Doc.

Day 1- The CEO of Nextdet, Jonathan Fouéré Mura, participated in the Round Table “Current Challenges in Rock Dismantling with Explosives” together with representatives from Vale, ISEE and UFOP professors.

Day 2- The second day was marked by an interactive workshop with the participation of the president of Nextdet, Arnaldo Arancibia, and the Software manager, Víctor Hugo Paredes. Arancibia spoke about “NextRice to Control Damage from Induced Vibrations”and Paredes presented “Far Field Vibration Prediction with NextLion”.

NextLion allows you to program and simulate virtual blasting, guaranteeing greater precision and safety. NextRice, an organic blast mix with degradable packaging, is ideal for sensitive areas.

Day 3- On the last day, Nextdet presented the presentation “Use of Quamtum in Fragmentation Analysis”, highlighting the savings generated by good granulometry on conveyor belts. Quamtum analyzes blast fragmentation and obtains accurate data to improve performance.

Víctor Hugo Paredes’ session on the Use of Quantum in Fragmentation Analysis was highly interactive and appreciated by attendees. In conclusion, the workshop in Ouro Preto was for Nextdet a commitment to technological innovation and knowledge, moving towards more sustainable and cutting-edge mining. At the end of the event, students and mining engineers saw in this workshop a new beginning full of opportunities for personal and professional development.
