Compliance
We have developed the following rules to ensure that users comply to our services when posting.
- Do not post content that is not related to the mining industry as they will not be approved.
- Please ensure that all required fields are completed.
- The content should comply to our privacy, terms and conditions policies.
- Only paid users are allowed to promote their products on the platform. However, we recommend paid users to follow the guidelines outlined.
- Ensure that the content is yours and if it is not yours, please add a source. When adding a YouTube link, it automatically acts as a source.
- As a guideline, we recommend that you look at posts by Mining Doc available on the website at Mining Doc – Posts – Mining Doc.
- Promoted content can be reposted using the same content but after a minimum of 4 weeks between the same posts.
- When promoting your product or services you should answer any of the following questions:
- What is your mining solution about?
- What problem does your solution solve?
- What is (are) the application(s) of your solution?
- Can you demonstrate what your solution does and how it works?
- Is your post directly talking about your solution? (e.g. promoting about a new hire does not qualify)
- What is the value of your solution?
- Obvious sales posts are not allowed (e.g. New arrivals, buy this new product today).
- When posting, use the name of the company or the name of the solution and do not use “I, we”.
General guidelines for posts
- It is proven that videos have the best engagement & views, followed by images and then text.
- Keep the length of the video between 10 seconds and 2 minutes maximum. If you have longer videos, then split them into segments and generate may content with a different message.
- Do not start your video with an introduction about yourself or your company, start your video with the most captivating part of the video, then conclude your video with the name and introduction of your company. This is because people are more interest about the solution first and what it does. The name of the company is then displayed after sending the message.
- When uploading a video, we recommend adding link from your YouTube channel.
- Keep your word count between 50 and 200 maximum. The longer the text, the less likely people are going to read it.
- The text should focus on sharing a message that is unique. For example, when presenting your technology, your text should talk about your value proposition, innovation, something new, etc.
General guidelines for blogs
- Images are great for blogs because blogs are designed for longer texts, therefore videos are not required.
- Choose the most captivating image you can think of, to make it appealing to the reader.
- Blogs are designed for longer text; we recommend 300-500 words.
- The text should give an introduction about the topic and then talks about the solution in details and its value.
