Officially introduced to market in 2021, the Liebherr 9600 was designed to replace the amazingly successful 996 released in 1995 and just like its predecessor, the 9600 is a clear hit in the mining industry.
This amazing excavator was built in Colmar, France. It has an operating weight of 633 metric tons in back hole configuration and 645 tons in shovel configuration.
Its bucket has a capacity up to 37 cubic meters. Engineered to operate around the clock, the Liebherr 9600 showed exceptional performance on site for the past three years achieving availability in excess of 93% in the toughest conditions particularly in Australia.
The Liebherr 9600 is competing with machines such as the CAT 6060 and can be fitted with three different power-train options. It is designed to last more than 80,000 working hours.
