Overview
The 2200 SM is a Surface Miner designed for cutting rock. It is equipped with a mechanically driven cutting drum and a pivoting, height-adjustable, two-element front change belt. This machine is equipped with a tracked undercarriage.
Robust welded construction with fixings for the various functional modules and body components. The fuel and water tanks are integrated into the chassis. The hydraulic oil tank is a separate unit.
The optimal arrangement of the various components, together with the hydraulic opening of the bonnet and the wide-opening service doors on both the left and right, mean that the machine is easily accessible for maintenance and repairs.
A 671 kW/913 HP V12 motor drives the machine. This engine meets the stringent EPA Tier I exhaust emission standards. It is equipped with a fully electronic management system. The engine automatically adapts to changing environmental conditions, such as variations in atmospheric pressure, temperature and humidity.
What’s more, even when subjected to extreme loads, the motor delivers extremely stable torque, so there are no interruptions to work.
Thanks to the large-surface radiator that cools the motor, the machine can be used in complete safety, even at high outside temperatures.
